Tonight, chef Josh Hebert of Posh Improvisational Cuisine is hosting a wine dinner to benefit The Joy Bus, a nonprofit organization that provides fresh and healthy meals to cancer patients and their families. The six-course dinner will include an amuse bouche of popcorn soup, followed by dishes such as cured salmon and caviar, escargot in a pretzel bowl teamed with lemon caper butter and zucchini, Tender Belly tenderloin of pork with a balsamic glaze and polenta, and house-made focaccia. The ingredients for the event have been sourced from local farms and artisans and Food & Wine magazine-acclaimed sommelier Stephanie Caraway will select pairings for each course. This Wednesday, Scottsdale's Twisted Rose Winery will host a four-course beer-paired dinner featuring brews from California's Lagunitas Brewing Company. The dinner will begin with a Bavarian Pretzel with a Fontina Fondue, paired with Lagunitas Pilsner, followed by dishes including a Farro Salad with goat cheese, hazelnuts, watercress, and apple cider vinegar and Brown Shugga' beer braised Niman Ranch Berkshire Pork with anasazi beans.
