Wine delivered to my house? Now I'll never leave.
Wine collectors and enthusiasts can now have vino from all over the country delivered directly to their front door through Amazon.com. The internet retailer launched their Amazon Wine Shop last November and recently added four additional states, including Arizona, to the list of those that can purchase wine through the online service.

The Amazon Wine store has an extensive selection of California wines as well as those from France, Italy, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. However, only domestic wines can be shipped to Arizona currently. Shoppers can browse by county, grape variety, and even professional rating.

And once you've made your selections you can have up to six bottles shipped for the flat rate of $9.99. You can also pick up "mixed packs" of wines (sort of like the make-your-own six-packs of beer).

Peter Faricy, vice president for Amazon Marketplace, told Phoenix Business Journal that the company is excited to be able to expand the service in time for the holiday shopping season.

"Our customers tell us they enjoy our wine-country selection and the convenience of finding detailed information in one place," he said. "We want to connect customers with wine sellers around the country and provide a destination where they can learn about and purchase wines directly from great wineries on Amazon."

There's bad news for Amazon Prime members, though. It looks like your free two-day shipping privileges don't apply here.

The Amazon Wine Shop now ships to the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, Wyoming, and the District of Columbia.
