Five Phoenix Restaurants Make OpenTable's List of Best U.S. Restaurants For Foodies
Recently OpenTable, the restaurant reservation service, released a list of the 100 U.S. Restaurants most "Fit for Foodies." The list, which was created based on more than 5 million restaurant reviews submitted by OpenTable users for more than 15,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, includes five picks from metro Phoenix.

To add some context to just who this list is for, it begins with this note about the defining qualities of an OpenTable foodie:
Many OpenTable diners consider themselves to be foodies - they are informed, adventurous and, above all, appreciate unique dining experiences.
A larger number of the restaurants on the list -- 19 to be exact -- are located in California, though the list includes restaurants from 26 different states. Surprisingly, only five New York spots made the cut.

Earlier this year, two Scottsdale restaurants made OpenTable's list of the 100 hottest restaurants in the country. Those spots were Searsucker, the second location of Top Chef Brian Malarkey, and Sushi Roku at the Hotel W, which has three sister locations in southern California and Las Vegas.
