District American Kitchen 5-Year Anniversary
Today, District American Kitchen at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix Hotel celebrates five years in business by bringing back five of their most popular dishes and cocktails. The special birthday menu includes two appetizers, two entrees and one dessert: a BLT salad, duck quesadilla, Nimbus Brown Ale short ribs, cedar-roasted Pacific salmon, and pumpkin whoopie pies. The birthday cocktail list includes an Arizonan take on a Moscow Mule called the 602 Mule, which combines vodka, prickly pear and ginger beer, as well as a pineapple lavender cocktail and a prickly pear mojito. Late Night Ramen Pop-Up at Posh
Wednesday, October 2
Ramen is back at Scottsdale's only "Improvisational Cuisine" restaurant. This week, Chef Josh Hebert of Posh will host a Late Night Ramen Pop Up from 10 p.m. to midnight. The Japanese street food menu will include four types of ramen (goma, shoyu, miso, and shrimp) and okonomiyaki, a savory pancake-like dish. Each will be priced at $10. Rumor is that Hebert might also be unveiling a special ramen burger -- but you'll have to stay tuned to the Posh Facebook page for details. Japanese drink and beer specials will also be available. For more information, call 480-663-7674 or visit the Posh website.
