Maya's Farm Accepting Applications Now for Upcoming CSA Season
We won't judge you if the thought of having to stop by the local farmers market to get fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables just seems like too daunting of a task after a long day or week of work. We've been there. It just seems so much simpler to stop by the closest grocery store and pick up everything at once. Even if that does mean your squash has seen more miles than you in the past week.
It doesn't have to be that way, though. Joining a community-supported agriculture agreement means having access to the freshest local produce available for pickup at a convenient location once every week.
- Five Favorite CSAs in Metro Phoenix
Maya's Farm, a small enterprise run by Maya Dailey within The Farm at South Mountain development, is known for it's high-quality produce. You can find her all natural fruits and vegetables at several independent restaurants around the Valley and thanks to her CSA program, possibly in your own home.
Members of the program receive a weekly allotment of naturally grown produce. Since the crops are picked to ensure they're at their ripest, you can expect a different assortment as the season change, with lettuce, tomatoes, vegetables, flowers, herbs, and eggs all potentially popping up in the baskets.
For added convenience, CSA members can choose between four pickup days and eight possible locations throughout Phoenix and Scottsdale:
