Sam Fox Opening Walk-Up Juice Stand in Scottsdale
This fall, the Valley's growing cold-pressed juice craze will include noted restaurateur Sam Fox, who's opening a walk-up stand of organic juices, coconut water-based refreshers, and nutrient-rich smoothies at the Scottsdale Quarter.
Created with the help of executive chef Michael Stebner and alternative medicine man Dr. Andrew Weil of True Food Kitchen (Fox Restaurant Concepts' healthy restaurant chain specializing in fresh, local, and "anti-inflammatory" foods), the juice stand will be called Juby True and will specialize in cold-pressed juices -- those made by pulverizing ingredients like kale, beets, and ginger.
Guests can expect to see juice options like the Golden Road, made with pineapple, pear, golden beet, lemon, peeled orange, and turmeric; waters such as the Beach Bum Tonic featuring strawberry, pineapple, and coconut water; and smoothies including the Nuts and Berries, a blend of frozen berries, orange juice, almond butter, and Greek yogurt.
There's also a variety of one- and two-day juice cleanse packages.
Juices can be pressed to order or selected from a stocked fridge. And, like True Food Kitchen, Juby True's menu will include in-season ingredients.
Juby True will be located in the Scottsdale Quarter on the north side of True Food Kitchen at 15191 North Scottsdale Road.
"We've bottled up the simplicity and healthy goodness of True Food Kitchen for on-the-go convenience," says Sam Fox. "We wholeheartedly believe flavor and nutrition can exist together on a plate as well as in a glass."
