The e61 Bar at LIibery Market
Liberty Market's FAEMA E61 espresso machine is turning 46 years old today, and in honor of the occasion, the Gilbert restaurant will offer free classic Italian drinks from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. That means espresso, macchiato, or cappuccino, so long as you order them dine-in as opposed to to-go.

The machine, which was made in Milan, Italy on July 22, 1965, was used in Italy for decades before being refurbished and then installed at Liberty Market five years ago.

This particular type of espresso machine is one of the most famous ever designed since many of its features were technological breakthroughs when it was first released in 1961. Several of the machine's innovations completely revolutionized the world of espresso making.
