Patriotic Celebration at Granite Creek Vineyards
Even if you couldn't let loose on the Fourth of July, there still are a few chances to celebrate in patriotic fashion. About two hours north -- as in, where it will be a mere 90 degrees this weekend -- at Granite Creek Vineyards in Chino Valley, they're hosting a belated Independence Day celebration with wine, music, and food. Guests will be able to lounge outside while sipping award-winning wines and enjoying a menu that includes pot roast paninis, smoked salmon cakes, roasted chicken salads, and a chocolate terrine. On Saturday, July 6, expect tunes from One Road South and on Sunday, July 7, from Just 4 Mama, a family bluegrass band. Music will be from noon to 4 p.m. and the celebration will last from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Admission costs $10 a person and includes wine tastings. For more information visit the Granite Creek Vineyards website.

Garden Sunday at Kelly's at Southbridge
Nikki Buchanan Kelly's chicken wings
Spend Sunday Funday on the patio of the Old Town Scottsdale boozery Kelly's at Southbridge and you'll find a hot spot for socializing, food, and drinks. Garden Sundays at Kelly's offer plenty to distract you from the main event -- drinking -- such as classic outdoor games: bags, mini golf, washers and cards. From 4 to 9 p.m. Kelly's offers summed-themed eats from its outdoor patio grill, including burgers, brats, chicken, and steak. And pretty irresistible drink specials will be up for grabs too, like $10 buckets of beer, $10 pitchers of house sangria, half-price bottles of wine and champagne and, our Sunday favorite, bottomless mimosas. For more information visit the Kelly's at Southbridge website.
