Amy and Samy Bouzaglo, the Valley's reigning king and queen of denial (and two more reasons the rest of the world can make fun of Arizona) are back in the news again.

This week, the owners of the now-infamous Amy's Baking Company in Scottsdale were interviewed by the Daily Mail in the UK about, well, pretty much everything -- like appearing on Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay, Samy's possible deportation to Israel, being blamed for stealing server's tips, bullies, and what the future holds.

Amy does most of the talking, and although there's the standard Looney Tunes, alleged victimization for their personal gain, and not-our-fault answers, there's probably some truth in the kinds of threats she says the two received after the Kitchen Nightmares episode aired. After all, people can be pretty terrible.

Anyhow, here's Amy catching us up on what it is.

On the Kitchen Nightmares season finale and Gordon Ramsay:

"When Gordon was there, he tried my cakes and loved them. They filmed me making my homemade pasta and they didn't show that."

"I asked Gordon many times, 'What's wrong with the food?' He wouldn't tell me. I literally chased him around, saying, 'I know you sent everything back'. He said we would talk about it later, but at no point did he offer any constructive criticism and that was hurtful to me. I had a great deal of respect for him as a chef."

"I'm self-trained and never went to culinary school, and welcomed Gordon Ramsay coming and giving me any critique. I'm by no means perfect. But I do know the quality of my food; I never have complaints and food is rarely sent back. We have loyal customers."

"Our show was the highest they ever had, it broke all of the records, so there are no hard feelings to Fox or Gordon. We are upset about the way we were portrayed and edited, but we are focusing on our future now."

"Now we can only defend Gordon Ramsay, we support him and hope that people are not as quick to judge him and hate on him because of these accusations. Kitchen Nightmares was not doing very well and the ratings were not very strong."

On the bullies:

"Over the past couple of months, we've gone from being completely unknown to having people call us at 3 a.m. saying they're going to break into our house with a rifle, rape me, and kill my husband."

"God is giving us the strength to get through it, we're fighters and survivors -- and we have our cats! We're dedicated to showing everyone who is still unwilling to accept the truth that we don't poison the food, we don't assault employees and customers -- and we don't steal our servers' tips."

(whaaaat?)
"We had to get police involved and the FBI [regarding the Bouzaglos alleging their Facebook account was hacked]. But the problem is that one of the hackers is a minor, but we know who he is."

In Europe most of the countries provide healthcare to people, I doub't that ABC does for its employees and stals their tips. Low life scum. Deport Sammy and let him take his psycho wife with him already.

This interview only proves the following:

1. Amy and Sammy did steel tips in spite of claiming they didn't. This means that the footage is real and they got caught. Why else would anyone say that now they keep their tips or that hourly is supposedly better, which we all know its not the case.

2. She said that she respects Gordon Ramsay, however, Fox actually had to put a cease and desist letter on the couple to prevent them from slandering both Kitchen Nightmares and Gordon Ramsay. she also claims she was willing to listen to him, but if that was true then why did she tell them that they didn't want to be filmed anymore? most folks if they say they want to be taught I'll take the bruises and be taught.

3. they claim to be a classy joint, however, now that produced in t shirts that's rather craft thanks. additionally the one that says "I am a gangster" is probably going to go up for a copyright infringements it by someone.

The long and the short of it is the only reason they even did the interview is because you're not being a curiosity anymore they're losing business and probably will be out of business within a few months.

""In Europe, they have a different tipping system"....yeah, but you're NOT in EUROPE...you're in SCOTTSDALE ARIZONA and you know darn well how the system works here!

I didn't even click on the link to read it. Who cares anymore. You're the ones bringing attention to it. You're the ones who should let it die. It's already dead to me.

They remind me of so many couples running places that are wack. Angels' Trumpet and Pallets are two places where the staff is constantly turned over sometimes entirely in one night.

Why is the nut jobb still getting publicity? That's what she wants ATTENTION. She's playing it up and everyone (the media) is buying into it. Enough please!

It never dies because you keep covering it. Is your page really getting so many hits to justify the amount of publicity you are giving these stupid people?

Lies, Lies and more lies. We drove by one Friday night around 8 PM, on our way to Gelato Spot. Amy's was empty, maybe 3 tables had people seated. Samy was standing behind the pastry counter, holding his head in his hands. Pita Jungle next door was packed.

While these two are definitely my favorite train wreck, the fact that they had/have to endure scary death/violence threats is unacceptable.

Can we PLEASE be done with these two?? Let them slide back into the anonymity they richly deserve. Soon, deportation and/or bankruptcy will end these two thieves masquerading as a chef and a restauranteur. Chow Bella, if we don't acknowledge their existence, they WILL go away...

@terezib  Not to mention that in Europe the owners don't take the tips from the servers as abc did. It is simply known that they are paid a regular wage and tipping is unnecessary, so they only tip for exceptional service, but then the owner doesn't take the tips, they still go to the server.

nevermind that to think it's customary in Europe and the one for other place they talk about New York is a sushi restaurant and the people who work at that restaurant get paid a much higher wait and have benefits. That is far different from this restaurant.
