New Times archives Kick off the summer season (before things get too hot) with the Brews Cruise along the Arizona canal
Chances are you don't have to go to work on Monday, which is always cause to celebrate -- and by celebrate we mean drink, heavily. On Sunday, May 25, you can enjoy a few beers while also soaking up the summer sun by participating in the annual Memorial Weekend Canal Brews Cruise hosted by San Tan Brewery. The ride begins at Kelly's at South Bridge where participants will enjoy a pint of San Tan beer and fuel up with some snacks. From there they'll head to three other locations located along the Arizona canal and at each stop will get to enjoy another beer from San Tan Brewery. The event will conclude with a party at Dos Gringos in Old Town. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased online.
Arizona Spring Restaurant Week
New Times archives Crepinette with lentils from Petite Maison
Been dying to try that new spot up the street, the one you've heard about a million times but have never had a good reason to go to? Well, Restaurant Week is that perfect reason since more than a hundred Valley restaurants offer special three-course prixe-fixe menus for just $30 or $40 per person. Some menus also include a drink.
The list of participating restaurant includes quite a few stand out spots, such as Petite Maison in Scottsdale, Noca in Phoenix and Cafe Bink in Carefree. With so many great options it can be hard to know where to start, but we suggest browsing through Chow Bella contributor Nikki Buchanan's five picks for the event.
Keep in mind reservations are highly recommended and that the deals end on Monday, May 27.
