New Korean Barbecue Spot Opens in Glendale
The new eatery comes courtesy of restaurateurs Billy and Christine Cho.
Like many Korean BBQ spots, Koryo lets diners grill their own meats -- in this case, on one of 19 Korean barbecue tables inside the Chos' new restaurant.
In addition to the barbecue, Koryo offers other Korean specialties, including appetizers like japchae and Korean chicken wings and entrees such as spicy soups, grilled fish, and a selection of bibimbap, the popular rice dish made with with sautéed vegetables and/or meat and seafood, gochujang (chili pepper paste), and topped with a fried egg.
Drinks include the imported Korean beer Hite as well as hot and cold sake and a $20 cocktail made from Soju, the traditional Korean distilled spirit made from rice wine.
