Scottsdale's Rancho Pinot is throwing down two wine 'n' dine events this month
Anyone's who's lived here for more than two seconds knows that this is the best time to be in the Valley, and that has little to do with the weather. (Okay, maybe it has a lot to do with the weather.)

But what we look forward to are the season-long celebrations -- from endless festivals to art shows to car auctions, there's always something to do. And the fun isn't stopping anytime soon. Grab a pen, we've got two more events for your calendar hosted by Rancho Pinot in Scottsdale, both of which promise plenty of wine and local eats.

The first event brings together Rancho Pinot and Patz & Hall winery of California. The winery focuses on a portfolio of single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines.

Winery owner and founder Daniel Patz will help host the Patz & Hall Winemaker Dinner on Sunday, March 24 at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $100 a person. Patz will also bring some older library selections from the winery collection to share at the event. The dinner will include four courses with wine pairings and a welcome cocktail to kick the event off on the right foot.

The menu for the event is still in the works, but it will include a seafood course for pairing with the Chardonnay and duck, and pork and lamb courses for the Pinots, in addition to a light dessert.

The featured wines will be:

  • 2010 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast

  • 2010 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

  • 2009 Pinot Noir Carneros 'Hyde Vineyard'

  • 2007 Pinot Noir Russian River 'Chenoweth Vineyard' IN MAGNUM

(In addition to any library selections)

Seating for the event will be a large community tables, though there will be some smaller tables available at a first come, first served basis.
