Gina's Homemade in Scottsdale to Offer Pasta-Making Classes in April
Fans of Gina Buskirk and her handmade foods ought to be excited about the chance to learn how to create some of that scratch-made goodness in your own home. The first opportunity came last month when she offered Cheese Making 101 where attendees got a hands-on lesson in how to make Italian cheeses.

That event was so successful they've decided to continue the knowledge-sharing with a series of pasta-making classes at Gina's Homemade Market in Scottsdale next month.
Gina's will hold classes from 6 to 8 p.m. April 2, 9, and 16. Attendees will learn how to make three different types of pasta to take home during the hands-on learning experience.
There will also be pasta and pizza served during the class, with a wine-tasting option available -- because learning is always easier with a glass of vino and a slice of Gina's burratta pizza, which features her famous soft cheese and McClendon's Select baby spinach.
The class costs $30 a person and is capped at 20 people per session. Reservations are required and can be made on the Gina's Homemade website.
For the no-so culinary inclined who might not be into the learning but still want to get in on some of Gina's specialty foods and simple family recipes, we have some good news.
The cafe is now open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch service. If you haven't been to the brick-and-mortar location, which opened last summer, the menu includes a selection of pizzas, soups, pastas, and sandwiches, as well as the classic Italian biscotti that started it all. Many of the products can also be found at AJ's Fine Foods, Whole Foods Markets, and various farmers markets around the area.
