Welcome Diner and Art Detour
In case you haven't heard, food truck favorite and comfort food connoisseurs Old Dixie's Southern Kitchen has made a new home inside downtown Phoenix's historic Welcome Diner. Owners Michael Babcock and Jenn Robinson are still serving up the same local hits from their mobile menu including the fried chicken biscuit sandwich and New Orleans-inspired red beans and rice, as well as some new items like burgers (topped with peanut butter), craft beers, and signature hurricanes. And what with Artlink Art Detour 25 happening this weekend, you have the perfect means to fuel your fine-art excursion. For more information, check out Old Dixie's on Facebook.
Hangover Hour at The Rose & Crown Pub
Heather Hoch Poutine at Rose and Crown
The good people at The Rose & Crown understand the importance of a balanced breakfast: meat, dairy, whole grains, and, of course, alcohol. That's why the English-style pub is unveiling its new Hangover Hour on Saturday. From 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays and Sundays, stop by the Rose & Crown for a generous helping of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast ($3. Yes, just $3), as well as $3 bloody Mary's, $3 mimosas, $4 pints of Sam Adams, and $3.50 Saint Mary's. Looks like waking up just got a lot easier. Visit the Rose & Crown online for more information.
