New Television Series Filming Three Valley Restaurants for Taco Wars (Oh, Canada!)
With all the television love Valley restaurants have been receiving lately, you can hardly get to a table without hitting your head on a boom mic.

First Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares paid a visit to Amy's Baking Company in Scottsdale, then spiky-haired Guy Fieri showed up to film six Valley restaurants for his new season of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
Now, the Canadians are getting in on the action with three more Valley restaurants. And they want a taco war, eh!
In a new food series for Country Music Television Canada, three shows -- Burger Wars, Taco Wars, and Pizza Wars -- will feature host and "clean comedian" Cris Nannarone on a journey through restaurants, diners, and food trucks across Canada and the United States to find the best of each category. The top three contenders in each "war" will then go to battle.

Phoenix, selected as one of the cities for Taco Wars, saw Nannarone visiting chef Silvana Salcido Esparza's Barrio Cafe as well as Milagro Grill, the Arcadia restaurant owned by members of the Macayo's family. In the next few days, the television crew will visit Tacos Atoyac in North Phoenix.
The series are slated to air on CMT Canada later this year.
