When it comes to your favorite companion and your favorite confection, it's often difficult to say who (or what) you love more. Fortunately you can satisfy both loves of your life this weekend at the Glendale Chocolate Affair happening between 58th and Glendale Avenue in Historic Downtown Glendale. Enjoy candy factory tours, romance writing workshops, and chocolate-covered everything, including churros, bacon, crepes and even key lime pie. This free event runs Friday from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. For more details, visit the City of Glendale online.

This Saturday, find plenty of reasons to eat play love at the Good Life Festival hosted by the Encanterra Country Club in San Tan Valley. Staring at 10:30 am for VIP ticket holders and noon for general admission, this public event will feature live music, Valentine's Day shopping, and cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs Tyler Florence and Duff Goldman as well as local culinary stars, Julia Baker, James Porter, and Aaron May.
Also in attendance will be food truck favorites such as Pizza People, Old Dixie's, and The Grilled Cheese Truck. Admission prices range from $20 to $70 depending on your choice of festival package. For more information or to purchase a ticket, visit the Good Life Festival online.
