The second of a onetime trio of locations, Blue Wasabi Sushi & Martini Bar in North Scottsdale has closed.

Located on Scottsdale Road (between McDonald Road and Lincoln Drive at Scottsdale's Hilton Village), the restaurant and martini bar, owned by Jim Moran, was known for its trendy atmosphere, signature blue-colored wasabi, and inventive sushi combinations with names like Eating Nemo, Shrimp Bizkit, and Get Clucked.

The original Blue Wasabi operated in Scottsdale's DC Ranch from 2004 until 2009.

Blue Wasabi's Gilbert location, opened in 2008 at 2080 East Williams Field Road (in the Santan Village), remains open for business.

let's not forget the swapping out of premium alcohol for cheaper stuff, which is why i stopped going...maybe someone more honest can do better?
