Caramelpalooza 2013: Call for Candy Makers!
Sugar lovers, rejoice. We can't believe it's already time to announce the details for the sweetest event of the year, Chow Bella and Smeeks' fourth annual Caramelpalooza, coming Friday, April 5 at 7 p.m.

Since last year's Caramelpalooza, Smeeks has found a new home -- at Union at Biltmore Fashion Park. The event will be held there, and this year proceeds from tasting tickets will benefit the Arizona Humane Society. We'll have more details soon.
Today, it's all about the candy makers! In order to participate, you must:
*Make your caramels in a commercial kitchen.
*Bring 350 individually wrapped caramels or caramel-inspired treats.
To sign up as a candy maker -- and/or ask questions -- please email Phoenix New Times managing editor Amy Silverman at amy.silverman@newtimes.com. Deadline to sign up is Friday, Feb. 15.
