Soon, Tempe fans of fast Indian eats will be able to add a new restaurant to their list -- and if you're an ASU student too, well, convenience just doesn't get any more, "Bro, it's right there."

A quick-service spin-off of Bombay Spice Grill & Wine, the restaurant chain owned by JNK Concepts (Roka Akor) with locations in Phoenix and Chicago, Bombay Spice Grill (BSG) will soft-open on Saturday, February 16. And its location, across the street from Arizona State University in the student-housing complex Vista del Sol, is the first of several.

Here's what diners can expect:

BSG's focus will be on healthy and fast Indian food. Its menu, which includes gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian selections under 500 calories, will feature wraps, salads, hummus, and soups. Online ordering and delivery option are also available.

"We've enjoyed meeting the students and staff at Vista del Sol and are happy to employ several college students." says Dallas Michaels, manager of Bombay Spice Grill.

A source tells me BSG is already looking at properties in Paradise Valley and Chandler for additional locations.
