Phoenix's Astor House to Host Food Truck Every Thursday
Since it opened last April, Astor House, from architect DJ Fernandes, who also owns Tuck Shop, the adjacent Coronado neighborhood restaurant, has been trying to find its groove. 
Short Leash Hot Dogs Short Leash Hot Dogs will be the first food truck at Astor House's weekly event.

It's entertained with cocktail classes and events, moved its daily breakfast to a weekend brunch only, and now, the cozy little house turned eatery will play host once a week to a Valley food truck.
"The idea is to foster the community aspect and diversity of food offerings," Fernandes tells me. "And customers can enjoy it in the comfort of the Astor House dining room or patio."
From 5 to 8 p.m. each Thursday, starting February 7, Astor House will host a food truck in its parking lot. Guests can bring their food truck eats inside Astor House and have the option of ordering up beverages, bar orders, and sweets to enjoy along with their meal.
"The idea moving forward," Fernandes says, "is to have a wide range of offerings and cuisine featured each week." He adds that if the event is successful, Astor House may host a Wednesday night food truck event in addition to Thursday.
