Saturday, Feb. 16
Arizona Strong Beer Festival
Steele Indian School Park
1 p.m.

Light beer is for wusses. This year marks lucky 13 for the Arizona Strong Beer Fest, Phoenix's celebration of high-alcohol brews. Tickets -- $35 now and $45 at the door -- include admission, a four-ounce commemorative tasting mug and 15 tasting tickets. Those with low tolerances need not apply.

Beers to try: Bell's Brewery - Bourbon Barrel-aged Batch 9000, Hopslam
Crispin Cider - Prepare to Die
Desert Eagle Brewing - Imperial Oatmeal IPA
Green Flash Brewing Co. - Candela Rye Barleywine
Lightning Brewery - Old Tempestuous
Noble Ale Works - Big Whig IPA
Sonoran Brewing Co. - Figmentation Double Abbey Ale

Sunday, Feb. 17
AZ Beer Week Brews Cruise
SanTan Brewing Co.
Noon

Grab your bike and join the crazies at SanTan's Chandler brewpub for a pedal-powered pub crawl. The ride begins with a pint and grub at SanTan, followed by stops at Sidelines Sports Grill, Uncle Bear's, and Coach and Willie's. You gotta burn off all the calories you took in at the Strong Beer Fest somehow.

Beers to try: SanTan Sex Panther Double Chocolate Porter, Hopfarm Belgian IPA

Country Club Classic - Beer Golf
Pera Club
2 p.m.

It's well-known that a round of golf is greatly improved with a beer in hand. Pera Club's Country Club Classic makes it even better by taking the clubs, handicap and frustrations at your short game completely out of the equation. Instead of whacking balls, at each "hole" you'll blindly sample three beers and attempt to match the beer you tasted with one of the options provided. Strokes are given for every incorrect guess, and the lowest scores take home some pretty nifty prizes. The event also raises funds for Camp Not-A-Wheeze, a camp for kids with asthma.

Beers to try: It's a mystery!
