Heather Hoch We found too many produce options at AFM!
If you're looking for fresh fruits and veggies straight from the farm, this is your new favorite market. With Sri's Fruits and Vegetables, Taste of Paradise, Crooked Sky Farms, and On the Vine being just some of the great producers to choose from, we found lots of different options here, from tatsoi and purple kohlrabi to kumquats and sunflower shoots. Plus, you can pick up your Chow Locally weekly box of farm-fresh goodies at this market, too.
Of course, we can't subsist on raw veggies and fruits alone, we grabbed a bite of cooked food to eat while we were at the market. First, we picked up an AZ Food Crafters bacon, egg, and cheese hand pie for $4. The flaky, buttery crust and warm breakfast-y insides provided the perfect start to our market eats. Then we had to have a plum galette ($5) because the fresh plums at the It's a Divine Bakery stand just looked too good to pass up.
