What does spaghetti have to do with love? Only Laurie Notaro knows, and she's not telling -- not til Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. when Chow Bella presents Candy Hearts, our second public reading at Crescent Ballroom in downtown Phoenix.

Notaro -- best-selling author and contributor to Jackalope Ranch and Chow Bella -- will be in town from Oregon to soak up some Arizona sun, and has graciously agreed to read her piece aloud, along with some of CB's other favorite writers, including:

Cynthia Clark Harvey, Katie Johnson, Elizabeth Maria Naranjo, Judy Nichols, Laurie Notaro, Robrt Pela, Julie Peterson, Sativa Peterson, Kim Porter, Eric Schaefer, Amy Silverman, Deborah Sussman and Kathy West.

Phoenix New Times' music editor, Jason Woodbury, will DJ, and you can buy food and drink from Cocina 10. Admission to the event is free, though we'd love it if you'd bring a canned good or two to benefit St. Mary's Food Bank.
