Recently, Guy Fieri has been in the spotlight, thanks to Pete Wells utterly destroying his new Times Square restaurant, Guy's American Kitchen, in a New York Times review. But this week, the restaurateur and Food Network host has been quietly filming six Valley restaurants for the 14th season of his popular show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

I had heard that DDD (Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives) had interviewed a few other local places including Vermont Sandwich Shop in Scottsdale, but Guy's production team chose these six to do first. Anyone have more info on the ones they'll shoot next?

I've been to DeFalco which is one that I would pick, and been to Perk Eatery for breakfast. The one and only time I was at The Duce was for a Burlesque-type show Jan 20 2011 we drank Schlitz out of a can and they had this awesome boxing ring in the middle of their bar. Fun night.

Will now make plans to try Curry Corner out.

I could never figure out why people like DeFalco's - overpriced and average. Then again I currently live in Chicago, there's an Italian deli in Edison Park that blows this away.

No, not DeFalco's!!!  One of my favorite places is about to get crowded.  The curse of DDD

First off, these places he is going to visit are not really any good except for MAYBE St. Francis! The rest are mediocre at best. Barrio Cafe, pa...lease??? Garbage! But I guess he has to do Phoenix...Poor guy. Has to have something to have a show about. Phoenix is the mecca of mediocre and half-assed. Good Luck fellow Californian, hope he can fake it for the fans!!

That means go to these places now because they will never be the same after the show....:(

Everyone please boycott this twit. I don't watch his show anymore. Not since I read where he said that gay guys "weird him out." Cuz of the, uh, flamboyant way he dresses and puts his hair up leaves him little room to talk.

I'm sorry sir, we're going to have to ask you and your film crew to leave the premises.

not that I don't love the joint... but in whose world is St. Francis a diner, drive-in, or dive?

@contact184 Obvisously you must have to eat in A LOT! While I can say most of the food is strip malls and average; there are some good places in the Valley. You have no clue the dedication it takes to do things from scratch, and to serve picky, unforgiving people like yourself.
