This fall, Eytan Zias, ex-New York restaurant chef and owner of Phoenix Knife House, moved his specialty cutlery shop from Scottsdale to a bigger space in Arcadia. Now, a few months later, he's ready to celebrate.

From 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, December 16, Zias is throwing a party to welcome folks to the new digs. And this ain't no sales event on the sly -- just a chance to drink free beer, eat free pizza, and let Zias introduce you to his 300 or so sharp little friends.

Oh, and guess who'll be slingin' the wood-fired 'zas?

Tending to the party's pies will be Jason Raducha. Raducha recently launched a micro-bakery through Kickstarter called Noble Bread and is currently working with chef Patrick Boll on the P. Joseph Project, a pop-up dinner concept at downtown's Squash Blossom restaurant.

Opened in 2007, and specializing in Japanese and custom professional kitchen cutlery, hand sharpening, and repairs, Phoenix Knife House carries around 300 knives in addition to knife rolls, sharpening stones, chef jackets, utensils, and books.
