Five Things to Eat and Drink this Weekend in Metro Phoenix
Looking for something to put in your mouth this weekend? We've got you covered. Check out what's on our plate.
We may not be mathematicians but we know a good deal when we see one. Every Thursday and Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Mint in Scottsdale you can score 5 flights of wine for just $5. And since booze makes most of us just a tad bit hungry, why not grab some Asian-inspired samplers from the Mint menu for only -- you guessed it -- $5. For more details, a look at the menu, and information on other weekly events at the Mint, visit the Mint online.
Bunky Boutique and Giant Coffee are teaming up to bring you a little holiday get-together this Friday (today) from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will feature wine and seasonal treats, local boutique shopping, a meet and greet with local jewelry makers, free portraits, and most importantly, a chance to pre-order your holiday cookies and pies from Giant.
And if you finish your holiday shopping early at Bunky, you can head over to MADE art boutique for its Holiday Jewelry Trunk Show complete with handcrafted works from local artists, a berry cobbler toppings bar, and wine. Bring your Bunky receipt with you and get 15% off your purchase at MADE now through Sunday.
Fourth Annual Arizona Tequila Fest
If you're looking for some non-holiday festivities this weekend -- or just to drown your sorrows -- head to the 4th Annual Arizona Tequila Fest, happening at U.S. Airways Center Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. The alcohol-fueled festival will feature over 100 different tequilas including premium, ultra premium, and tequila liqueurs; as well as a margarita challenge, chile pepper eating contest and free Mexican fare from Sandbar, America's Taco Shop, and Dos Gringos. Tickets are $45 and include unlimited sampling of tequila, food, and musical entertainment. Enter the promo code "DTLPRE" for $10 off your purchase of admission. For more details or to buy tickets, visit the U.S. Airways Center online.
