Litchfield's will also have a children's menu. The Wigwam Ballroom will serve a buffet from noon to 6 p.m. with options such as roasted corn and shrimp chowder, smoked salmon platter, roasted sirloin of beef, pineapple and honey glazed ham, roasted turkey, and holiday desserts. There will also be live entertainment and children's activities. The buffet is $38 per adult, $19 for children ages 4 to 12. Kick off Christmas a couple days early with brunch at the Wrigley Mansion. Dishes will include lobster Waldorf salad, smoked salmon and bagels, thyme and garlic crusted leg of lamb, sage crusted turkey breast, cornbread dressing, and an abundance of desserts. The prices have been lowered this year to $60 per adult, $30 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for kids 5 and under. There are three seatings: 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. Reservations are required; call 602-955-4079.
Of course there's always Chinese food available on Christmas, but Scrooges can mix it up this year with a different type of Asian cuisine at RA Sushi. All five locations in the Phoenix metro area will be open on Christmas Eve, and only the Mesa restaurant is closed on Christmas Day. And, they'll all be offering all-day happy hour with select sushi, appetizers, and tapas plates priced from $2.25 to $7.25. If you're missing traditional tastes, try a Ginger Blossom cocktail. A lively concoction with mild juniper flavors, it's made with Hendrick's gin, St. Germain, muddled strawberry, pink grapefruit, lime juice, and a splash of ginger ale. Finish your meal with lightly battered and fried cinnamon tempura gelato.
