Cheesemonger Lara Mulchay Launches Online Cheese & Charcuterie Pop-Up Shop for the Holidays

For food lovers, offerings of fine cheese are as fun to give as to receive. And who better to help you select one than Lara Mulchay, founder of WedgeFestUSA, owner of the defunct Petite Fromage, and advocate for American artisan and craft cheese.

Mulchay, along with husband Joel LaTondress, a computer programmer and foodnik (also the Amy's Baking Company customer whose one-star review on Yelp sent the owner into her famous tirade), have launched an online pop-up shop via their company, Hotdish.

Featuring American-made farmstead and artisan cheeses, a variety of Creminelli salamis, and other quality foods, the duo's virtual pop-up shop lets its website guests order anything from cheese and charcuterie gift boxes and baskets, catering platters, or individual cheese, carcuterie and other treats.

Plus, order in the next 24 hours and you'll be entered into a drawing for some pretty sweet prizes.

Those wishing to order from the the Hotdish pop-up cheese shop can place their orders through the website and schedule a delivery anytime between Wednesday, December 12, through Monday, December 31.

For orders places in the next 24 hours, Mulchay and LaTondress will enter your name into a drawing for a gift certificate to The Mission in Old Town Scottsdale, a holiday pack of local Wonder Mustard, treats from GoodyTwos Toffee, and other prizes.

Mulchay says in addition to the website, it's likely she and LaTondress will open a physical shop for a few days in December as well. Stay tuned for details.
