Drink Better Beer Prescott Brewing Co.'s Ponderosa IPA
This month World of Beer in Tempe is hosting a celebration of craft beer. Every Saturday a different style of beer will be given tribute in the form of 10 samples (3 to 4 oz.) for $10. From 2 to 4 p.m. this Saturday, November 17, pale ales and IPAs will be in the spotlight. Fourteen brews will be available, including Widmer Rotator, Four Peaks Raj IPA, Odell Mountain Standard Double Black IPA, and Prescott Ponderosa IPA. Purchase your ticket in advance online.
Fans of Top Chef who are looking for a reason to visit Brian Malarkey's Searsucker in Scottsdale, we have the perfect excuse for you: Sunday brunch. Try the Dr. Seuss-inspired Green Eggs & Ham. Pork belly is cured overnight with salt and brown sugar and then slow-roasted for three hours. The pork belly is sautéed until hot and crispy and then served with a slice of brioche. The dish is topped with a poached egg along with brown butter hollandaise sauce that gets its bright green hue from Italian parsley and tarragon. Searsucker's brunch also features the "man mosa" with bourbon, blackberry, maple syrup, and champagne.
