Win FnB's October Instagram Contest, Fly to Rabbit Island for Brunch Prepared by Charleen Badman
If you have ever dreamed of taking a private seaplane to an island just to have lunch, we have news for you.
Pavle Milic and Charleen Badman of FnB in Scottsdale are holding a contest this month for their Instagram followers that could make this fantasy a reality.

Milic got the idea for the hashtag contest from a Levi's advertising campaign. The popular jeans company started a campaign on Instagram asking its followers to submit pictures of themselves representing Levis and then to hashtag it with #iamlevis. Milic entered a picture and won a spot on a New York City billboard and a pair of jeans. Levi's attempt to involve the community in its advertising inspired him to do something similar.
Milic and Badman want to shine a light on a special person in the community in order to show their appreciation for those who live in Arizona.
"Other cities love their cities," says Milic, who arrived in Phoenix in 1987 and wants to showcase "The evolution of what transpires here. I want people to come to Phoenix and think, 'They got it going on.'"
All you have to do is follow @fnbrestaurant on Instagram and then hashtag a picture of someone you admire in your community with #myaznow to be entered into the contest.
You do need to explain why this person deserves the recognition, but they don't have to be well-known within the community to be eligible.
In your explanation, the co-owner and chef simply ask that you introduce the person and state what the nominated person does, whether it is farming, latte art, owning a specialty shop, or just someone you look up to.
"It's about family and our community," Milic says about the contest.
After picking a day from a list of six planned events, the winner will be taken to Rabbit Island, which is located on Roosevelt Lake and close to Four Peaks, by means of a private seaplane.
This 20-minute flight will leave from Scottsdale Airpark to take the winner and the person they admire to have brunch with Milic, Badman, and an as-of-yet to be determined local wine maker.
"You get champagne, get to fly over the McDowell Mountains, Apache Trail, and then make a water landing" to arrive at the island just in time for brunch, Milic says.
