We were sold on this quaint and cozy coffee shop the second that designer-turned-barista Pat Flanagan opened the doors of his freshly remodeled spot last spring. The warm interior and interesting artwork begs you to take a few minutes out of your day to stay and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee (beans courtesy of Lux). Best Coffee House, South Phoenix: Cupz N' Crepes

Is this the truth? Does the quality of the coffee factor into your voting? Since all but one of these businesses use dark, charcoal-like beans, I'd suspect that's not the case... Surely there are better options? Right? Maybe a coffee house is all about the pastries, after all... Ah, but go ahead, keep throwing out your cliches of "skillfully roasted beans... only the best beans... exotic flavors... patented scientific method" like it actually means anything to us naive Phoenicians.

Perhaps here the word "local" will forever be used as a synonym for "quality."
