Restaurateur Julian Wright, CEO of Fork & Dagger Restaurant Group and owner of Canteen Modern Tequila Bar and La Bocca Urban Pizzeria + Wine Bar in Tempe, is taking his libations show on the road, specifically to High Street at CityCenter at CityNorth, situated near the intersection of the Loop 101 and State Route 51.

This winter, Wright will be opening a new concept at CityCenter at CityNorth, the mixed-use development of retail, offices, residential units, and restaurants which includes such tenants as Ocean Prime, Blue Martini, and Skinny Italian Kitchen. Called Modern Margarita, Wright's new bar and restaurant will feature a large selection of (you guessed it) fresh-made margaritas, gourmet street tacos, burgers, and shared plate options in an atmosphere where the party doesn't stop until 2 a.m.

"While we learn from the successes we've had at other local restaurants and bars, Modern Margarita is designed specifically with the north valley community in mind," says Wright. "From the menu, to décor, and music, we are creating a signature experience for the surrounding community with delicious, very drinkable margaritas."

Modern Margarita's nearly 2,000 square foot space (with an additional 1,200 square foot patio) will serve margaritas ranging from $7 to $12 (during happy hour they'll range from $3 to $10) and will include unusual flavors like hibiscus, prickly pear, and cucumber. Wright also plans on bringing over a favorite from Canteen Modern Tequila Bar, the Casa Margarita with fresh-squeezed lime.
