May the best chicken win!

It sounds like the start of a politically incorrect joke:

A White Girl, A Jew, An Italian and a Colombian going to battle over the greatness of FRIED CHICKEN.

But that's what Pavle Milic, co-owner of FnB (and the Colombian in question) wrote on FnB's Facebook page last week. It's a setup for the Fried Chicken Throwdown that Eliot Wexler (owner of Noca - the Italian is Noca's chef, Claudio Urciuoli) has proposed between his restaurant and FnB on Sunday, October 21.

Wexler says it will be handled similarly to Noca's popular Sunday Simple Suppers: three courses for $35 (plus tax and gratuity) and supplements (extra dishes) may be added. Seating will be from 5 to 9 pm.

Both FnB and Noca will be preparing fried chicken, a side dish and a supplement dish.
Diners will cast their votes for best chicken, best side and best supplement.

Badman tells Chow Bella she will be frying her chicken at FnB and transporting it to Noca. Does that represent home field advantage? If so, she's not worried about it. "My fried chicken is good cold," she says. In any case, it's going to be loads of crispy-crunchy fun. Lots of folks in this town do love their fried chicken (Sharon Salomon, we're looking at you!).

Make reservations early (602-956-6622). This one is bound to fill up. And stay tuned for more details.
