Six Oktoberfest Celebrations in Metro Phoenix
Ready for a heavy dose of brats and beer? The official Oktoberfest season kick-off is this Saturday -- we already told you this morning about the celebration beginning this weekend at Brat Haus with free beer! -- and we've got the details on all the Valley's celebrations happening over the next few weeks. So break out the lederhosen and get ready to party!
Litchfield Park German Oktoberfest
When: September 22, 5 - 9 p.m.
Where: The front lawn of The Wigwam Resort, 300 Wigwam Blvd. Litchfield Park
How much: $10 per person + the cost of food and drink, Kids under 12 free
What to eat / drink: Traditional German eats including Brezel, Kartofellpuffer, Knackwursts, and Sauerbraten plus Black Forest cake and plenty of beers like Veltins German Pilsner, Maisel Weisse, Zunft Kolsch, Bud Light
Fountain Hills Oktoberfest
Where; Fountain Park, 12925 North Saguaro Blvd.
When: Friday, September 28 & Saturday, September 29, 5-10 p.m.
How Much: $5 per person, kids 12 and under are free and If you decide to sport your lederhosen or a dirndl, your admission fee will be waived.
What to Eat/Drink: Big juicy brats and even bigger smoked turkey legs plus this lineup of great ice cold draft beers -- Wartsteiner Pilsner, Warsteiner Dunkel, Warsteiner Oktoberfest (Marzen Style!), Konig Ludwig Hefeweizen, Konig Ludwig Oktoberfest.
Downtown Chandler Oktoberfest
Where: Historic Downtown Chandler, 3 S. San Marcos Place
When: Saturday, September 29, 2-11 p.m.
How Much: $15 - $20 per person
What to Eat/Drink: SanTan Brewing Co. will have plenty of their Oktoberfest beer on hand along with the rest of their craft beer line up. Get there early for one of Von Hanson's Meat's Oktoberfest brats made with SanTan's Epicenter beer.
