Good news, East Valley Craft beer lovers. Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. just received approval for their Series 3 Domestic Microbrewery Liquor License!

That means that the Kickstarter assisted brewery that will eventually be housed at 721 N. Arizona Ave. in Gilbert is one step closer to opening the doors of their new brewing facility and tasting room.

The potential microbrewery reached its $40k Kickstarter goal back in April with a little help from local craft beer shop O.H.S.O and the support of the ever-growing Metro Phoenix beer community. Since reaching their goal, the guys behind the brewery have been busy trying to secure their liquor licence and perfecting their line of "Wilderness" brews (like a Smoked Peach Berliner Weisse that sounds heavenly).

The AZWBC team is still working on their federal approval but they are aiming to open November 15th. If you just can't wait to till then to try their beers, the guys behind the beer are doing a special tasting at Trophy's Steakhouse in Queen Creek this Thursday and when we last checked, there were still seven seats open. Jump over and like Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co's Facebook page and you might be able to snag one of the last open spots.

Sorry, but any business that needs to use kickstarter to raise money to open is doomed to fail for lack of capitalization. Just a sad simple fact of opening up a business without having the necessary capital reserves needed to survive the first few years in business.
