Got a fabulously creative idea that brings the culinary arts and science together? If so, Justin Beckett and the Arizona Science Center have a hefty chunk of change waiting for you.

Inspired by his restaurant's upcoming two-year anniversary and strong support from his Arcadia community, the chef and co-owner of Beckett's Table launched the first annual Feed Your Dreams Competition this week, a statewide search for the next big idea combining food and science.

Yep, there's free money involved, but YOU have to pony up a pretty damn good idea.

Do you dream of creating a 100% sustainable restaurant? Or maybe you're working on the next generation thermal immersion circulator. Chances are, your brilliant idea is way ahead of anything the rest of us can imagine. So why not throw your hat in the ring?

The Grand Prize, determined by an award selection committee that includes Beckett and a representative from the Arizona Science Center, is $10,000 in cash + $10,000 in a public relations and marketing package.

Six finalists will be selected by the internal voting committee and invited to present their ideas at the first annual Beckett's Table Feed Your Dreams gala, held at the Arizona Science Center on August 20, 2012 -- where Beckett and crew will prepare a five-course dinner with wine pairings. Tickets go on sale in July.

At the event, finalists will present their ideas to an audience of 150 guests, who will be invited to vote for the winner of the second place award, called Innovation Ovation. The winner receives $5,000.
