Fuego CityScape Replacing Aaron May's Shuttered Vitamin T

new restaurant.jpg
Despite chef and restaurateur Aaron May's contention that there had been a miscommunication when he was locked out of his taco shop in downtown's Cityscape at the end of April after a landlord-tenant dispute regarding back rents, his restaurant, Vitamin T, opened for nearly a year and a half, has officially shuttered.

In its place will be Fuego CityScape, from owner Jeff Ward, who also operates Fuego Bistro in north Central Phoenix, its more casual spinoff in the Camelback Esplanade, Fuego Tacos, and the newly opened Fuego Cantina in a former Chuy's in Phoenix.

Here's what Fuego CityScape has in store for downtown diners.

Set to open in the first week of June, Fuego CityScape will offer modern Mexican cuisine and cocktails such as housemade sangria and craft mojitos.

The menu, highlighting local ingredients and small plates of Mexican fare, will include dishes such as pernil tacos with mango salsa, signature empanadas, carne asada mini tostadas, sliders, and a Sangria Salad with organic greens, strawberries, apples, goat cheese, candied walnuts and a sangria vinaigrette.

Will Ward's Fuego CityScape fare better than May's Vitamin T? Given the amount of variables, time might be the best answer for that question.

You sure? I don't think people can pretend they are someone else on the Internet. Everything on here is fair and accurate.

Hey Jay.. I know our food is so gross and disgusting, and let me tell you.. when I wake up every morning.. I look to the North and I ask my self.. How is it that I am successful and able to expand? Then I ussually just shrug my shoulders and say yuck. Because I must be doing so many things wrong, and my food must be the worst in the city right? Tell you what sweetheart.. you come on a work along with me for one day, then see if you want to post about my success.

How Fuego continues to be successful and expand is beyond me.  Yuck.

If this is how you treat criticism (albeit online), then I am thrilled to bring my business elsewhere. I may not have been of this discussion prior but you're behavior is immature and unprofessional.

You sure you didn't eat at a Filiberto's instead?  I've had nothing but good stuff from Fuego..

In case you couldn't tell, that was not posted by Fuego's owner.
