Cold Brewed Iced Coffee
I love me some coffee! I love me some iced coffee. What I don't love is paying a ton of money for it, and if I do, it better be damn good. Now, there are many places where you can find a decent iced coffee in Central Phoenix, but that's not what this post is about.

This post is about getting down with your own cold brew. This way, you can have iced coffee whenever you want, without breaking the bank.

There are tons of iced coffee recipes on Pinterest and it turns out they're all very similar. I chose to follow the method as described by The Pioneer Woman (who adapted it from Imbibe magazine). Her tutorial is fully illustrated and I like her writing.

Most recipes call for one pound of coffee and two gallons of water. I bought the pound of coffee, but chose to halve the recipe for two separate batches. The brew will last for three weeks, which we'd surely drink up by then, but storing the stuff can be tricky if you don't own any gargantuan containers. It's your call.

And, in case you are interested, Imbibe Magazine offers an informative read about the varying perpectives regarding hot and cold-brewed iced coffee with recipes included.
