Four Peaks Makes List of Top Fifty Craft Brewers in America
Here's a little something to raise a glass to.
Four Peaks Brewing Company, the Tempe institution serving up handcrafted suds in a 1892 Mission-style warehouse since 1996, has been named one of the top fifty craft brewers in the U.S. by the Brewers Association -- a not-for-profit trade group that tabulates production statistics for U.S. breweries.
Basing its rankings on each company's beer sales volume in 2011, the Brewers Association listed Four Peaks Brewery in a tie for 50th place with California's Anderson Valley Brewing Company.

The Phoenix Business Journal reports Four Peaks co-owner Jim Scussel saying the company sold 36,000 barrels of beer last year, with 90 percent of it purchased off-site, mainly at retail locations. In addition, Scussel went on to say that Four Peak's second Tempe brewery is slated to begin brewing beer in late August.
