Food Trucks Launch Third Mobile Food Court Downtown

AQUPNachos.jpg
Nachos from Q Up! Barbecue will make a tasty appearance.
They roll up to hungry lunch crowds on Food Truck Friday at the Downtown Phoenix Market and into the New Times parking lot at 12th Street and Jefferson on the same day -- but who said the mobile kitchen lunch bunch should stop there?

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, the food trucks will gather at a third downtown mobile food court. And if it's successful, it could be a regular rollin' gig.

Set to happen at the historic Phoenix Seed & Feed Building at 411 South Second Street, the third downtown food truck court will include tacos and burritos from Shinobu Diego, barbecue eats from Q Up! Barbecue, AJI Mobile, Arizona-inspired food from Luncha Libre, and Mrs. White's grandson's newest venture, Buzz N Beez.

Wow its crazy to see all the mobile food business grow out here, its awesome I love it. We need more small businesses to build up the economy out here and thats what so great about this, is once all these mobile food vendors choose to open up shop it will open more employment. I am a vendor myself, Frenchys Caribbean Dogsthe best in the nation. Check us out for yourself or just ask around the social media of Frenchys Caribbean Dogs.

When it comes to PHX food trucks there is Short Leash Dogs, then there is everybody else. You guys gotta try the 'Seventh inning stretch' which is a hot dog with cracker jacks, peanut butter, BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheese. Sounds gross, but the flavors come together in a big way.

Honestly, I love Short Leash.  I really do.  The "Seventh Inning Stretch" was just off a bit.  I think the peanut butter + flat bread was too dry and the bbq sauce didn't fit in.  I love their other offerings.

Also, that said.  Please try some other vendors people.  Jamburrito is awesome with a huge menu.  Hey Joe has tasty asian BBQ (when available) and Riteway has some of the best BBQ in town.

'Riteway has some of the best BBQ in town.'

Darryl is a good guy, and their sandwiches are some of my favorite in town, truck or no. im sure some bbq purists would scoff at some of the weird concoctions he comes up with for his specials, but they are almost always fantastic.

I agree with the new 7th inning dog that short leash rocks out, it's freaking yummy!  I think you should double check your other statement, unless you have personally tried the other trucks, which I doubt you have based on that statement.  I can hands down say that Short Leash is by far the best HOT DOG truck we have in the valley!  I have personally eaten off of all the gourmet trucks here in the valley, and can assure you that Phoenix has some AMAZING chefs rolling around the valley, with food that is ridiculous with flavor!  You can get better food off a truck now a days, then you can at a restaurant!    Do yourself a favor and try all of the trucks, you will be pleasantly surprised!!
