Coe, known throughout the Valley and beyond for her fondant-covered masterpieces and deadly delicious miniature cupcakes, is a graduate of Johnson and Wales with a degree in Pastry and Baking Arts. Along with husband and master baker MJ, Coe serves as one of the area's most recognized and respected figures in the baking world. The couple uses a location next-door to Arcadia's Le Grande Orange Grocery as their permanent bakery, but also offers their goodies at their location in downtown's Roosevelt District.
The best part of my job is being able to eat anything I want. The worst part is the guilt. So the best part is also the worst part.
The weirdest thing I have in my kitchen is my sense of humor.
I think food should always be properly seasoned.
My advice to an aspiring baker is to not take it too seriously. It's just food.
My favorite hobbies are yoga and riding horses.
Find Coe and 17 other chefs at Caramelpalooza, Friday, March 2, from 7 til the caramel runs out, Smeeks candy store, northwest corner of Central and Camelback.
