2011 Restaurant Openings and Closings

• Red, White and Brew in Chandler closed down not too long ago and I believe Thai Elephant in Phoenix (off Adams St) is still open, maybe you meant to say the Tempe location closed?

• Baja Fresh on Indian School and Scottsdale closed recently, not sure if it was in 2011, i just noticed it a few weeks ago.

• My favorite ice cream shop closed down, Chill in Tempe is no more. :c(

• Sadly, Bueno Burger in Glendale, so bummed :-(.

• Also, you missed out the opening of the excellent Indian restaurant, Madras Ananda Bhavan in Phoenix, in November.

• You missed the biggest blow of all - the loss of 25 Degrees in CityNorth sometime in May, just weeks after voted the best burger in all of the Phoenix metro area.

• north at 40th st and cambell will be closing by the end of the year

• That lame excuse for a college hangout finally went tits up? That took longer than I expected, I thought they'd have a much shorter run than Sucker Punch Sally's lamentably brief time there.

• When did Tryst open up in desert ridge area?

• DiVerti on Mill Closed in December. New owners calling it the Front Door.

• McCormick & Shmucks

• Mad Chef closed in December....totally bummed. :(

• I believe the second location of George and Dragon closed in 2011, as did Backstreet Wine Salon.

• There's a sign on the Two Hippies door that says they are just getting some new equipment and renovating or something like that. They will persevere!

• Casa Ramos open in Mesa just before New Years.  

• Heart attack grill in chandler

• Rock Taco Cantina opened and closed in 2011.

• I second Verde! Besides Bloom, that was one of the most disappointing closes for me.

• When did the wonderful Perk Eatery Open?  I didn't see it on the list but am pretty sure it opened mid-2011.

• Not that it could be considered much of a "restaurant," my disappointed football fan friends report that the Buffalo Wild Wings on Mayo in Scottsdale closed abruptly over the holidays.
