We all know this is the season of giving.

But it's so much easier to down another martini at the office cocktail party and focus on the white elephant gift than actually do something for someone in need.

That's why we've gathered a list of ways that you can help local charities fight hunger in the Phoenix community this holiday season.

7. "Like" Macayo's on Facebook

Bring a non-perishable food item to any Macayo's Mexican Restaurant location today and you'll get 20% off any chimichanga. If you can't make it over to the restaurant during that time (the offer's been going on for a while, the last day is today) you can simply go on Facebook and like their page. For every "like," Macayo's will make a donation to the Arizona Association of Food Banks.

More ways you can help after the jump.

6. Give Love, Get Love at Sky Harbor International Airport

There's no avoiding the airport at this time of year so when you do get over to Sky Harbor, you can also drop off a non-perishable food item at "News Travels Fast" in Terminal 3. The food drive, led by HMS Host, will also be selling teddy bears to benefit the organization Feeding Arizona. For each bear purchased, Feeding America will be able to provide 32 meals.

5. Treats for Toys at Sprinkles

Sprinkles Cupcakes and the Scottsdale Fire Department are teaming up to provide toys for underprivileged children. Now through December 18th, bring in a new, unwrapped toy for a young child through high school aged youth and they'll give you a cupcake of your choice.

To raise awareness about the...truckload, of toys needed, on December 13th the Scottsdale Fire Department will be helping collect toys with their fire truck at Sprinkles between 10:30 and 11 am.

4. Binkley's Restaurant

Binkley's Restaurant in Cave Creek will let you add a small donation to the nearby Foothills Food Bank right on your check. The tax deductible donations will be added to the tab and Binkley's will ensure the money goes to the food bank.

3. Pies for a Purpose

At Arizona Coco's locations, when you purchase any holiday pie you can also purchase one to be given to a local food bank. Just ask about the Pies for a Purpose program.

2. Toys for Tots at Sam's Cafe

Located in the Arizona Center in Downtown Phoenix, Sam's Cafe will be accepting new, unwrapped toys between now and December 15th--all day, everyday. And as a thank you they're giving you a free dessert.

1. Arizona Family's Holiday Food Drive

Make a donation at any Fry's location by adding to your grocery bill. Just $2.50 can provide food for 17 meals.
