Pizza People Bring Affordable, Artisan Pizza to the Valley
|The Popeye Pizza of Pizza People|
What they're packin': Artisan pizzas featuring fresh, local ingredients. They're using their own recipe for the crust and sauce--no knock-offs here. Best of all, at under $10, it's a meal that won't break the bank.
What you need to know: Don't want to wait around for your dinner to bake? You can call ahead and Pizza People will have your pie ready to go when you arrive. They've also got gluten free crust options and carry "healthier" drink options (Izze beverages, coconut water, etc.).

|MaryBeth and Tim Scanlon|
Culinary background: Although they'd never call themselves chefs, MaryBeth has 20 years of restaurant experience. For the past 10 years she's been working with Tom Jetland of Fez and Switch in Central Phoenix who continues to be a "great mentor" to the pair.
As for Tim? "Well, I worked at Little Caesar's when I was 18."
Have you had any issues getting it off the ground?
Although they say getting the truck was a challenge, MaryBeth and Tim wasted no time getting the rubber on the road. They committed to the idea of starting a food truck in August and debuted at the Food Truck Festival in October--they'd never even cooked in the truck before. Despite the "wild ride" the pair says they've got no regrets so far.
