Hey beer lovers -- it's time to take a break from the holiday hustle and bustle and treat yourself to an evening of gourmet food paired with a few badass beers. Join Keirland's Brittlebush Bar & Grill this Friday, December 16th for the second beer dinner in their 2011-2012 dinner series. This month's dinner will feature three brews from Phoenix Ale's brewhouse included their newest release--Watermelon Wheat -- as well as Beer Valley Brewing Company's Black Flag Imperial Stout, and Lagunitas' Holiday Ale. Each beer will be paired with choice eats from the kitchen including clementine & caramel-glazed duck lollipops, crispy skinned snappper, chicory & espresso-rubbed venison and a peppermint cheesecake served in a jar with ginger snap cookies and peppermint candies. Macarons are hands down the perfect cookies in the land. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and they can be made with endless flavor combinations. Since everyone is super scared to make them you will be able to impress the hell out of your holiday party guests or those pesky hard to shop for people on your Christmas list by making a batch.
