Don't know about you, but we're still on a sugar high after the second annual Chow Bella/Roosevelt Row Pie Social.

And with good cause. Hundreds of pies were consumed Saturday afternoon in downtown Phoenix, as some of the best chefs in town squared off in an extraordinary display of pie love. Chocolate was big.

You joined in, too: Community bakers brought everything from caramel peanut and chocolate marshmallow pecan to cherry chocolate and sweet potato pies, as well as a lemon chess we're still trying to get the recipe for. (We'll pass it on to you later this week if we do.)

The event raised funds for the Phoenix Union Bioscience High School's arts program -- and the student volunteers who worked their butts off all day Saturday certainly earned it. Thanks also to Cindy Dach and all the folks at Roosevelt Row.

Oh wait, that's not what you're here for, is it? You want to know who won the celebrity baker competition! Read on.

Pie Snob's winning pie.
Ten celebs baked their hearts out, and as was the case last year (when Justin Beckett's pecan/fig dominated) we had a stand-out (though the judges praised the entire spread, agreeing the bar was definitely raised this year).

Pie Snob Traci Wilbur
takes home the prizes for Most Memorable, Most Creative and Best Taste, for her apple chile pie, while Virginia Senior from Urban Beans won Best Presentation for her apple pie.

Wilbur also snagged the People's Choice award.

Thanks to our judges: Chow Bella's Carol Blonder; Matt Pool of Matt's Big Breakfast, Giant Coffee and The Roosevelt; Barbara Harris of Feeding Frenzy; Gwen Ashley Walters of Pen & Fork and Andrea White of the sadly-no-longer-local Saffron Kitchen.

And thanks to you, Chow Bella readers, for joining us. See you next year!

All the pie porn you can handle is here in our slideshow from Saturday's event.
