CLOSED: Two Hippies Magic Mushroom Burgers

• I went by the beach house on 7th st and Camelback and also on Cave Creek before Greenway and they are both empty and vacant.  What happened? http://www.tvandmoviereviews.com

• Mushrooms are always great with burgers, and that's why they're always brought together. They've been best friends for years now! LOL!

• I've only tried the food at the Beach Shack because it looked like such a fun little place. I couldn't even finish my meal because the food was so bland. It didn't make me want to try any of the other places after that experience.

• the difference between comparisons here is that Americas Taco Shop is great food, and i have always gotten good service atht eh Phx locations. 2 Hippies food wasnt good and the peopel at the three locations came across as really friendly..until you actually had questions or any concerns with your order. rather just go to Mamma Mias next door. much better, and reminds me of home (NJ)

• I'm not surprised. The food across the board is pretty low quality and service was worse. The Two Hippies brands will eventually implode unless they start pumping out better quality food and radically improve customer service. I went to the breakfast location on 7th ave and I was served a BURNT TO A CHAR ON ONE SIDE sandwich. I said something about it and was told that's just the way it is by a girl that looked like she hadn't washed her hair in a month. I left it on the counter and walked out.

• It didn't help that the location of Magic Mushroom Burgers was so awful that you could only really get to it if you were heading west on Indian School. I loved them when they opened and they had really good burgers. Most Two Hippies places I've noticed start out really good, and then the quality takes a sharp downturn. Unfortunate. :( Vicelord, which 7th Ave location? There are two. I see people at the one on Campbell almost every time I'm there.

• Yep, all three of those have closed. I think their problem is a lack of quality control, the burger i had at 7th & Dunlap was barely better than alright, while the one i had at Alma School & Baseline was good, and if their enthusiasm is anything to judge by, 40th St & Thomas (Two Hippies Gnarly Burger) should be very good. Its really hit or miss, which is bad for a brand, since people will assume that what they got at one represents what they'll get from any other one, something that's very not true.

• I wonder about 43rd avenue and Bethany is still open.

• THe beach house at Dunlap, and  allso the Beach House at Greenway and Cave Creek closed as well.. I also heard that Thomas and 24th Two Hippies Pizza  closed also?

• I've never understood the infatuation with the Two Hippies brand. I had one of my worst meals ever at the taco shop on Camelback. America's Taco Shop is mediocre, too. I love hippies, but not these two hippies' cruddy, underwhelming culinary disappointments.

• The food was cheap crap. Guess it finally caught up to them.

• Did anyone not see this coming? they expanded too quickly, overextended themselves, and in many cases, opened the same concept within jsut a few miles of another. America's Taco Shop is getting close to doing the same. Has anyone else noticed that the America's location on 7th street has been constitently empty the past few days?

• Eh, the burgers there weren't that great.  The Beach Shack is the best of their brand.
