Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

Holy Cow! This is Going to be A Busy Weekend
The Arizona Taco Festival, The State Fair, TASTE of Chandler, Taste of Cave Creek, Tour de Fat -- did we miss anything? Maybe an Ocktoberfest somewhere?

Start your weekend off by doing a good deed for your community. Today from 10:30 a.m. till 2 p.m. in the courtyard of the Arizona Center , The Arizona Clay Association will be selling handmade ceramic bowls for the 21st Annual Empty Bowls event.  Each bowl costs $12 and includes lunch from Sam's Cafe. All proceeds will go to the non-profit Waste Not organization to help feed those in need. Click here for more info.

This Saturday, take the scenic drive out to Cave Creek for the 2011 Taste of Cave Creek food festival. More then 20 area restaurants will be showing off their stuff from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the town's Stagecoach Village. Admission is $10 and samples will cost between $2 and $4. We'll be heading straight for the Pumpkin Spiced Bavarian Cake from Tonto's Bar & Grill. Yum! Bring cash and arrive early for the best treats. Details here

Or make your way over to the east side for the 2011 TASTE of Chandler. Same deal as above but with all the finest restaurants in Chandler hanging out in the middle of the Historic AJ Park. Tickets to this event are $45, which includes unlimited samples. More info here

Chocolate and Booze
Seriously?! Strawberry Jello Shots in Chocolate Shells?! If we had Jello shots like these back in our college days, underage drinking would have been tons more fun. Oh well, at least we have them now. Make a batch for your next party or anytime you feel like having a little booze with your chocolate.
