Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

Hallowine!
One of our favorite downtown dining spots, Cibo, will be opening their doors this Sunday, October 30th for a very special Halloween wine tasting. The "Hallowine" event is a benefit for the family of little Max, who underwent brain surgery this past August for a cancerous brain tumor. The little guy (he's 4) has a long recovery ahead of him, which mean a rough financial road for his parents. You can help by eating, drinking,  listening to live music and enjoying the cool weather on Cibo's beautiful patio.

Chef Guido is still finalizing the menu, which will be made up of mostly appetizers, but we heard a rumor that bite-sized versions of their mouthwatering pizza, fried mozzarella balls, bruschetta and ice cream from Churn will be making an appearance. Wine will be provided by Quench and Southern Wines. The fundraiser runs from 2 to 5 p.m. $25 per person or break out your costume and get in for $20. Click here to RSVP.
Halloween Voodough Dolls
We figured we had grossed you out enough this week with severed fingers and tail-less mice so we went for cute! We doubt that these adorable Voodough Dolls could do any real harm but we'll make them anyway. Set these s'mores-like treats out at your Halloween party this weekend or let the little ones make their own. Fun!
