Whoever said the food truck fad was on its way out better get his engine checked.

Thanks to Food Truck Fridays at the Downtown Phoenix Public Market and the upcoming Phoenix Food Truck Festival on October 22, grabbing grub from a motorized vehicle never tasted so good. No wonder Phoenix Street Food, the coalition of mobile specialty food vendors with nineteen food trucks in its brood, just added five more -- and I'm told there's new submissions still to come.

Meet T-Licious Teazy Tacos and the four other new trucks after the jump.

1.) T-Licious Teazy Tacos
Owers Jordan Kean (chef) and Cathy "Red" McGoldrick (manager) are girls with grills on this gourmet taco truck that launched in August.

2.) Duck Duck Pig
What's in a name? Everything. Think sandwiches, burgers, and BLT's made out of -- what else? -- duck and pig.

3.) Pizza People
What do you get when you mix fresh ingredients, gourmet pizzas, and a food truck: Pizza People. Longtime Valley residents MaryBeth and Tim Scanlon joined the Phoenix Street Food Coalition this month and are set to be a part of the Food Truck Festival in October.

4.) Pizza Daux
The tagline, "Have dough will travel..." pretty much says it all. A regular at Sleepy Dog Brewery, look for creations like, "Cheese, Glorious Cheese!" "Tyme for Mushroom and Sausage," and "The Original Daux," featuring mesquite smoked tomato sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan reggiano.

5.) Epic Hot Dogs
Who's that caped dog with a hotdog on a sword? None other than the mascot for Epic Hot Dogs. Specializing in hot dog varieties from "the United States and beyond," Epic Hot Dogs also does gourmet sausages, too. Look for fantastic franks like the Detroit Coney, the Montreal (also known as "Steamie"), and the Carolina BBQ dog. See the complete menu here.
